About Me

Hello! I am Charlene, an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology and a minor in Art History in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Previously, I graduated with a Diploma in Arts Business Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.

My experiences in the past three years have greatly shaped me into who I am today. During my internship at the Singapore Book Council, I was involved heavily in both marketing and public relations which honed my skills in designing and communications. Through various volunteering experiences with both performing and visual art organisations, I also gained valuable insights into the operations of arts organisations in Singapore and the importance of engaging audiences.

“The principle of true art is not to portray but to evoke,” Jerzy Kosinki’s quote resonated deeply in me. As an artist myself, I believe there is no greater achievement than knowing that your work has made an impact on someone else. I believe that with my knowledge and skillsets, I am able to harness them to assist artists in the delivery of their work to the audience. MY goal is to further contribute to the arts industry in Singapore.
